infusions

Yes, vitamin IV therapy is very safe. We only use nutrients from FDA-regulated 503a and 503b compounding pharmacies and source all of our equipment from reputable vendors. Our protocols have been developed by our medical board to provide the safest and most effective care possible.

You can find our menu of Infusions by category here. We have developed our menu to try and help the most amount of people using the most direct ingredients possible.

Our medical staff will go over all your options and help you determine which infusion is best for your goals.
Our nursing staff is composed entirely of registered nurses trained and skilled in IV therapy with backgrounds in emergency rooms, operating rooms, ICU’s, and labor and delivery units.

They work under our Medical Director and under guidelines and protocols developed and approved by our medical board.

Most infusions are completed within 45-60 minutes. Some therapies may take up to 4 hours (NAD). Booking an appointment ahead of time will save you time in the clinic.

The effects of most infusions can be felt almost immediately, depending on your symptoms, and can extend up to a week or longer.

Water soluble vitamins are metabolized and absorbed by the body as needed. Vitamins like Vitamin C are metabolized rather quickly, while other nutrients like amino acids are absorbed and used as building blocks.

The fluids can help restore hydration levels rather quickly, and depending on dehydration levels, can help maintain levels for several days.

This will depend on a number of factors, including your goals, your current symptoms, your health, and your treatment of choice. Hangovers may find instant relief, whereas athletes may notice during their next session or improvements over the course of their training. Custom programs and skin therapies may take longer depending on levels of deficiencies, severity of symptoms, and other genetic factors.

Our staff of registered nurses are highly skilled in IV starts and will make you as comfortable as possible. The site may be sore for a minute or two, but the drip should not cause any pain or discomfort. If you experience any aches or pains during the drip, please notify the nursing staff. You may have slight bruising at the site afterwards, but any other pains that may arise, please call us and our nursing staff will answer any questions.
Yes! Each type of shot and infusion may provide different sets of results for different symptoms and needs, and more than one can be used each appointment. Our medical staff will review all your options and help you determine which combinations are best to fit your symptoms and needs.

Shots only take a few minutes. Our goal is to have you in and out the door within minutes. Booking an appointment ahead of time will save you time in the clinic.

The effects of most shots can last up to a week or longer. Water soluble vitamins are metabolized and absorbed by the body as needed, while fat soluble vitamins like Vitamin D3 are stored in the body and used over time.

Some of the shots can have an accumulative effect, such as the Fat Shredder injections, working more effectively over time when administered regularly.
There may be some pain and discomfort associated with injections, but most reports are minimal and go away shortly after the injection.

Immediately after the injection, you may have some limited soreness at the injection sites that may last for 30-60 minutes. Shots like Magnesium tend to leave you more sore than B12.

If you have any discomfort, we will provide you with a hot pack. Heat and motion will help your body uptake the nutrients quicker and reduce the soreness faster.

Please contact us immediately if you experience significant bruising, pain, swelling, or other problems.

Hormones

Bioidentical Hormones are manmade hormones derived from plant estrogens that are chemically identical to those the human body produces. Estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone are among those most commonly replicated and used in treatment.

These hormones come in various forms, including pills, patches, creams, injections, and pellets. Each delivery method has their own unique benefits. Our physician will tailor your treatments and will recommend the best method to fit your needs.

Symptoms of hormonal imbalances may include low energy and fatigue, PMS, hair loss, low libido, increased anxiety and irritability, mood swings, hot flashes, night sweats, temperature intolerances, cognitive difficulties and brain fog, irregular cycles, adult-onset acne, hair loss, weight changes, joint pain, loss of muscle mass, and extreme thirst or hunger.

These imbalances can be caused by a wide range of issues. When most men and women reach their 40’s and 50’s, many of their hormone producing glands such as ovaries, testicles, thyroid gland, and adrenals gradually produce less and less hormones over time. Stress, lack of exercise, poor eating habits, environment, obesity, and addiction to substances are some other common contributing factors to hormonal imbalances. However, aging and diet are usually the main causes.

Our physician will design a personalized treatment program based on lab testing and symptoms to help balance your levels and put you on the road to a happier and healthier life.

Some of the benefits of hormone replacement therapy include: increased energy levels, improved quality of sleep, restored and increased libido, restored hair loss, increased mental alertness and cognitive function, normalized weight, boosted metabolism, decreased body fat, regained skin elasticity, reduced depression, anxiety, and irritability, eased joint pain, decrease in hot flashes and night sweats, regained muscle tone, and reduced risk of bone fractures.

Yes, hormone replacement therapy is very safe. We only use hormones from FDA-regulated 503a compounding pharmacies. HRT has been used for decades to treat symptoms and manage hormonal imbalances. All hormone programs are developed and overseen by Dr. Mayra Thompson and our medical board.

There are some risks associated with using Hormone Therapy. These risks depend on the type of hormone therapy prescribed, the dose, how long the medication is taken, and your individual health risks. In most cases, these side effects are mild and don’t require you to stop your hormone therapy.

If your symptoms are bothersome or are progressing, our physician may adjust the dosage or form of hormone therapy to help reduce the side effects.

Never make changes in your therapy or cease taking it without first consulting the physician.

You should not use HRT if you:

  • Think that you are pregnant
  • Have problems with vaginal bleeding
  • Have had certain kinds of cancers
  • Have had a stroke or heart attack
  • Have had blood clots
  • Have liver disease

All pellets and hormone injections administered in the clinic are given by Dr. Mayra Thompson or a registered nurse. All nurses have been trained by Dr. Thompson and operate under guidelines and protocols developed and approved by Dr. Thompson.

Yes, all hormone programs require a 60 minute consultation with Dr. Mayra Thompson.

It is highly recommended that you book your lab draw for the HRT panel so your results can be ready for your consult.

Dr. Thompson will review your lab results as well as your personal health and family health history to verify your eligibility for HRT and get you started on a personalized program.

Get started on your new HRT program by booking a lab draw to test your hormone levels. You may book a lab draw Monday through Friday by calling us at 972-685-2917 or by booking online through our portal.

Pellets require a small incision for insertion. Our staff will apply a local anesthetic and will make you as comfortable as possible. The site may be sore for a day or two, but the pellets themselves should not cause any pain or discomfort. You may have slight bruising at the site afterwards, but any other pains that may arise, please call us and our nursing staff will answer any questions.

This will depend on a number of factors, including your goals, your current symptoms, your health, and your current levels. Dr. Thompson will thoroughly analyze your health at your initial consult and will go over timelines with you. HRT is a proven treatment option, but not every case is the same. Please be prepared to ask Dr. Thompson any questions you may have and she will be glad to help.

In general, there is no time limit to how long you can or may take hormone therapy. Our physician will work with you to prescribe the lowest dose of hormone therapy that will work for you, and will continue to monitor your levels and reevaluate your treatment plan as you continue with hormone therapy.

Please do not adjust your dosage or cease taking therapy without first consulting with our physician.

If you develop a new medical condition while undergoing hormone therapy, please follow up with us and our physician will set up a consult to discuss if it is still safe to continue with hormone therapy.

Along with hormone therapy, your personalized treatment plan may include vitamin infusions and injections, oral supplements, gut health optimization, and lifestyle changes like sleep, stress, exercise, and diet. Depending on your symptoms and health history, our physician may recommend additional bloodwork to test for deficiencies of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and fatty acids in the body. These nutrients help the endocrine system function properly, and even form the building blocks of naturally produced hormones.

Along with Vitalife’s standard New Client Form packet, you will be required to complete Dr. Thompson’s health intake forms prior to your first consultation with Dr. Thompson. It is recommended that you get your blood drawn for the HRT hormone levels test prior to booking your consultation.

semaglutide

Semaglutide is a medication used to treat type 2 diabetes. It belongs to a class of drugs called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists.

Semaglutide comes in injectable form in weekly doses.
Semaglutide is a medication used in medical weight loss programs that has shown to be effective in helping individuals lose weight.

Semaglutide works by mimicking the effects of GLP-1, which is a hormone that helps regulate blood sugar levels. It helps the pancreas release more insulin and reduces the amount of glucose produced by the liver. It also slows down the rate at which food leaves the stomach, which can help to control appetite.

In clinical trials, semaglutide has been shown to help individuals lose weight significantly more than those who received a placebo.
Benefits of Semaglutide injections include:

1.Improved blood sugar control: Semaglutide helps to lower blood sugar levels by mimicking the effects of the hormone GLP-1, which regulates blood sugar.
2. Weight loss: Semaglutide has been shown to cause weight loss in clinical trials, making it beneficial for people who are overweight or obese.
3. Lower risk of cardiovascular events: Semaglutide has been shown to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events, such as heart attack and stroke, in people with type 2 diabetes who are at high risk for these events.
4. Reduced need for other diabetes medications: Semaglutide may reduce the need for other diabetes medications, such as insulin or oral medications, in some people.
5. Improved quality of life: By improving blood sugar control and promoting weight loss, semaglutide may improve overall quality of life for people with type 2 diabetes.

It is important to note that the specific benefits of semaglutide may vary depending on the individual and their specific health condition. It is important to talk to your healthcare provider about the potential benefits and risks of semaglutide for your specific situation.
Semaglutide is generally considered safe when used as directed and under the supervision of a healthcare provider. However, like all medications, it may cause side effects in some people. The most common side effects of semaglutide include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation. Other side effects may include headache, dizziness, and injection site reactions.

Rarely, semaglutide may cause more serious side effects, such as pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas) or kidney problems. It is important to talk to your healthcare provider about any concerns you may have about the safety of semaglutide.

It is also important to note that semaglutide is not recommended for use in people with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or in people with a type of thyroid cancer called multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2. It is also not recommended for use during pregnancy unless the benefits outweigh the risks.

Semaglutide is not recommended for use in people with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or in people with a type of thyroid cancer called multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2. It is also not recommended for use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
All Semaglutide prescriptions are mailed directly to the prescribed patients from the compounding pharmacy, along with a supplies kit and sharps disposal container.

Semaglutide is typically administered by injection under the skin (subcutaneously) once a week. It can be injected into the thigh, abdomen, or upper arm. Dr. Thompson will instruct you on the proper technique for injecting semaglutide during your consultation. You will also be given a self administration guide to take home with you.

Here are the general steps for administering semaglutide: 1. Check the semaglutide vial for damage or leaks before use. Do not use the vial if it appears damaged or if the solution is discolored or contains particles.
2. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
3. Choose a new injection site for each injection and clean the site with an alcohol swab (included in the supplies kit).
4. Remove the vial cap and attach a new needle to a syringe. Using the needle inserted into the top of the vial, draw up the dose as prescribed by Dr. Thompson.
5. Pinch the injection site to create a fold of skin and insert the needle into the fold at a 45- to 90-degree angle.
6. Push the injection syringe to inject the semaglutide. Keep the needle in the skin for at least 5 seconds before removing it.
7. Dispose of the needle in a sharps container and replace the vial cap.
8. Rotate injection sites with each injection to help reduce the risk of skin reactions or tissue damage.

It is important to follow Dr. Thompson’s instructions for using semaglutide and to contact us if you have any questions or concerns about the administration of this medication.

You may also choose to bring your prescription to the clinic for storage and administration by our nursing staff.

The time it takes to see results with Semaglutide can vary depending on the individual and their specific health condition. Some people may start to see improvements in blood sugar control and weight loss within a few weeks of starting treatment, while others may take several months to see significant improvements.

In clinical trials, Semaglutide has been shown to improve blood sugar control and cause weight loss over a period of several months. In one study, people who took Semaglutide for 68 weeks experienced an average weight loss of 15.3 pounds.

It is important to note that the effectiveness of Semaglutide may also depend on other factors, such as diet and exercise habits. Dr. Thompson can work with you to develop a treatment plan that includes Semaglutide as well as other lifestyle modifications to help you achieve the best possible results.

It is also important to continue to monitor your blood sugar levels and weight while taking Semaglutide to ensure that it is working effectively.
The length of time that you will need to take Semaglutide will depend on your individual health condition and treatment goals. In most cases, Semaglutide is used as a long-term treatment for type 2 diabetes and may be continued indefinitely as long as it remains effective and well-tolerated.

It is important to follow your healthcare provider’s instructions regarding the use of Semaglutide and to continue taking the medication as directed, even if you start to feel better or your symptoms improve. Stopping Semaglutide suddenly or without the guidance of Dr. Thompson can cause your blood sugar levels to increase and may lead to other complications.

Dr. Thompson will review your treatment plan every month and adjust the dose of Semaglutide or other medications as needed to ensure that you are achieving the best possible results.

It is important to continue to monitor your blood sugar levels and other health indicators while taking Semaglutide. Dr. Thompson may request periodic lab tests to ensure that it is working effectively and that you are not experiencing any adverse effects.
Along with Semaglutide medical weight loss injections, your personalized treatment plan may include vitamin infusions and injections, oral supplements, gut health optimization, and lifestyle changes like sleep, stress, exercise, and diet.

Depending on your symptoms and health history, our physician may recommend additional bloodwork to test for deficiencies of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and fatty acids in the body.
